Restore Your Home’s Exterior
Regarded as more durable and long-lasting, brick adds a timeless look to your home’s exterior. But like everything else in life, it doesn’t hold up forever — sooner or later, your brickwork will need a touch-up.
What causes brick to wear down? The No. 1 enemy of all masonry is water. Of course, other issues that could be at play — e.g., a settling problem in the structure of the home or a foreign object such as a car hitting your brick wall — but the biggest enemy is always water. If you notice dark spots in your mortar joints, noticeably darker brick in some areas, green moss, cracks or crumbling, and even holes in the brick, you’re likely due for brick repair services from Force Masonry Construction.
Your Hometown Professionals
We take pride in our work and want to provide you with cost-effective solutions that appear as though your home has never needed a repair. Matching the existing masonry is an important step in any brick repair. So we use products like coloring agents for the mortar to help match the existing mortar. We can also give it an aged look.
Brick matches are important because many brick styles are no longer manufactured. Nevertheless, we do our best to locate your brick from leftover inventory. If your specific brick cannot be found, we will provide samples to compare alongside your existing brick to choose a match as closely as possible. If the brick wall is damaged from settling and most of the brickwork is still in good condition, we can sometimes clean the removed brick and reuse them. Our tuckpointing services will provide you with peace of mind knowing your home is safe and restored.
